Day 1- To Delhi
Arrival in Delhi. Transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at Delhi.

 

Day 2 - Delhi


Morning sight seeing with visit to the majestic “Red Fort”, the historical “Chandni Chowk”, “Raj Ghat”, “Shanti Vana”. Drive past “Rashtrapati Bhawan”, the one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys & visit “India Gate”, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war. Later visit “Lakshmi Narayanan Temple”, “Qutab Minar”, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty & the lotus shaped “Bahai Temple”. Overnight stay at Delhi.


Day 3 - To Mandawa


Morning drive to Mandawa. Check-in to hotel. Take a walking tour of the painted houses in the region belonging to leading business families of the country. Overnight stay at Mandawa.


Day 4 – To Jaipur


Morning drive to the Pink City of Jaipur. On arrival, check-in to your hotel. Afternoon sight seeing with visit to “City Palace”, popular for its blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture, “Central Museum” with its large collection of woodwork, jewellery, costumes, brassware and pottery. Later visit “Jantar Mantar”, largest of the five observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh, “Hawa Mahal” or palace of winds constructed by the royal ladies to watch the royal processions without being seen. Overnight stay at Jaipur.


Day 5 - Jaipur


Early morning sight seeing tour begins with an elephant ride up the Aravali Hills to visit the "Amber Fort". Afternoon free to explore the crowded and colourful lanes of Pink City’s bazaars. Overnight stay at Jaipur.

 

Day 6 – To Agra, via Fatehpur Sikri


Morning drive to Agra. Enroute visit the deserted town of "Fatehpur Sikri" - once the capital of Mughal Emperor Akbar. On arrival at Agra, check-in to your hotel. Afternoon proceed for visit to magnificient "Taj Mahal" built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Overnight stay at Agra.

 

Day 7 – To Gwalior


Morning sight seeing with visit to “Agra Fort”, containing the Royal Residential Palaces, the Halls of Public and Private Audience and beautiful gardens, “The Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula” located in a walled garden overlooking River Yamuna, "Akbar’s Tomb at Sikandra”, magnificient gateway covered with floral and geometrical arabesque decoration in white. Later drive to the fort city of Gwalior. On arrival, check-in to hotel. Overnight stay at Gwalior.


Day 8 – To Delhi


Morning sight seeing with visit to the majestic “Gwalior Fort”, largest and the mightiest fort in India, “Sas-Bahu Temple”, 9th century shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu, “Teli Ka Mandir”, 300 metre high Vishnu Temple. In time transfer to Railway station to board Shatabdi Express to Delhi. Transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at Delhi.


Day 9 - Departure


Transfer to Delhi Airport/Railway Station.
